Welcome to Newcastle

Newcastle is a rural Civil Parish to be found at the western end of South Shropshire's Clun Valley. 

The population of the parish at the 2001 Census was 269 people across 116 households.

This part of the county is designated as an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'  (AONB).  The Shropshire Hills were one of the first areas to be designated an AONB back in 1958.

The parish has a rich history with ancient sites and a substantial stretch of the Offa's Dyke crossing the parish from north to south.
